Accessibility Statement
Effective: 25 May 2026
Our commitment
Jasse is committed to making jasse.pl usable for as many people as possible, regardless of ability, device, or assistive technology. We aim to meet the standards of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we're improving the site continuously toward that goal.
What we do
To keep jasse.pl accessible, we:
- Use semantic HTML so screen readers can navigate the structure
- Maintain strong colour contrast between text and background
- Provide descriptive alt text for images of products and people
- Ensure the site is fully keyboard-navigable (tab, enter, esc)
- Design responsively for mobile, tablet, and desktop
- Avoid auto-playing audio or video that can't be paused
- Respect
prefers-reduced-motionfor users sensitive to animation
Known issues
We're a small operation and there are always things we can improve. Known limitations we're working on:
- Some vintage product photographs were sourced before we started writing detailed alt text — we're updating these gradually
- The marquee animation in the manifesto strip plays continuously; we'll add a pause control in a future update
If you find anything that's hard to use, please tell us. Real feedback from real people is the fastest way we improve.
Assistive technology
jasse.pl is designed to work with current versions of:
- Screen readers — VoiceOver (macOS, iOS), TalkBack (Android), NVDA, JAWS
- Browser zoom up to 200% without breaking layout
- Keyboard-only navigation
- Voice-control software
Standards we follow
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA (W3C)
- EN 301 549 (EU accessibility standard)
- Polish Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications (where applicable)
